This small device will put you at ease for those for those hard to do 83850V2 and 93450 Liteon Drives. Its based on the concept discovered by MRA, basically you need to cut a couple of traces on the drive and install this device to enable the read of the whole firmware. Yes its true you can do the same without any device and with a couple of wires, switches and a resistor but the extra benefit of install this device is that you dont have to disassemble your dvd drive again to do the reading, it incorporates a SMART MTK MODE to use it just need to boot your drive with tray open and the device will put the drive in MTK mode where you can do the reading. It also incorporates a disable feature wich puts the device into deep sleep mode and will not enter MTK mode anymore till you re-enable it.
